Garforth Town progressed to the final of the West Riding FA county cup with an impressive win at Harrogate Town (at the time three divisions above the Miners). They would go on to play either Bradford Park Avenue or Tadcaster Albion in the final. Mark Simpson and Tawanda Rupere scored the goals.
