Garforth kicked off the league season with a tremendous performance away at Dunston.

The goals came from Harry Colville, Oli Patrick and Harris Eggleston.

Town were still without the services of striker Luke Aldrich, who was injured in the FA Cup tie the week before. Charlie Marshall continued to lead the line in his absence.

James Burgess made a first appearance of the season from the bench.

Colville opened the scoring on twenty five minutes, latching on to an underhit backpass and keeping his composure in the box to beat a defender and stroke the ball home.

Oli Patrick put Town in a commanding position just ten minutes later, by prodding home a cutback by Charlie Marshall.

Nic Bollado gave the home side hope with a first half stoppage time goal, but Dunston couldn’t build on it, as Garforth defended resolutely throughout the remainder of the match.

Substitute Harris Eggleston put a two goal cushion between the sides again ten minutes from time. Exchanging passes with Dexter Ball, he kept his cool to finish with aplomb from inside the area.
