The Miners continue on their string of away matches with a trip to Heaton Stannington on Wednesday. Match preview by Robert Osborne

Garforth will travel to Grounsell Park to face a Heaton Stannington side on Wednesday, who will be looking to avenge Town's FA Cup heroics against them earlier on this season. Back in August, the sides faced off in a fiery encounter in the first preliminary round of the cup at the Bannister Prentice stadium; a Mo Fadera last minute equaliser salvaged a replay for the 10 men of Town, after a sending off for Harry Viggars in the first half.

The dramatics did not stop in the replay, with Heaton quickly put themselves two goals ahead. However, what followed was nothing short of magical from the Miners, as a wonder strike from Jay Davis and a spot-kick from Max Tweddle levelled it to take proceedings to extra time, albeit with Town again down to 10 men following a straight red for Joe Smith.

An epic end-to-end finish to the match saw yet another Garforth dismissal - this time for Jamie Barkway - but a Charlie Marshall winner two minutes before time saw Town complete a thrilling comeback with 9 men and beat the Stans 3-2 AET. Heading into Wednesday, Heaton will surely have revenge on their minds.

The opponents currently sit 14th in the NPL East, picking up only one point from their last four games despite putting in a good performance against second-placed Emley AFC on Saturday. A narrow 1-0 defeat was considered undeserved by Heaton manager Dean Nicholson, but he highlighted the impressive recent performances of new signing Neil De Jesus. The wonderfully named goalkeeper will look to keep a clean sheet on home soil.

Returning back to the Miners, Town will look to bounce back from the weekend's defeat against league leaders Cleethorpes Town with what currently stands as a midtable clash against Stannington. Manager Paul Marshall and coach Mike Reynolds are away for the fixture, leaving assistant manager Mark Smitheringale and U23's manager Martin Powell to lead from the dugout for the fixture.

There are no new injury concerns for Garforth, only with Sam Barker likely missing due to a setback in recovery. A repeat of August's away tie with Heaton would be ideal for Town, hopefully this time finishing with three points and a full 11 on the pitch.

Kick off at Grounsell Park is 7.45pm.
