Familiar foes Emley and Garforth continued their NCEL Premier Division rivalry as newly promoted NPL East sides.

The Miners notched up a rare victory over the Pewits, thanks to a goal in each half, from captain Dan Coupland and right back Rinor Ejupi.

Coupland picked up a loose ball from a corner and curled the ball beyond Lambton.
Ejupi fired in a low shot after receiving the ball in plenty of space on the right.

Both sides produced goal line clearances and both had goals ruled out for offside. Garforth were clinical when it mattered, Emley came up against a goalkeeper in fine form. Harry Flatters producing a man of the match performance.
