Preview of Saturdays NPL match

After a two week break, Garforth finally get back into action this Saturday, with a trip to Sheffield FC.

Sheffield currently sit at the foot of the NPL East table, with two points from five games (although they have games in hand on many of the teams above them).

Former Garforth Town forward Luke Mangham has been finding the net consistenly for Sheffield this season and will be an obvious threat on Saturday.

Before the Miners took their fortnights sabbatical, they had lost three home games in a week. The gruelling run of matches at the end of August (combined with injuries and suspensions) eventually taking its toll.

Paul Marshall will be looking for his refreshed squad to put in their usual huge effort when they cross the touchline in S18 at 3pm on Saturday.

Garforth came out on top in an eight goal thriller when the teams met on this day in Sheffield fourteen years ago.

The season after, Garforth again won out in another thriller at Wheatley Park

The Home of Football Stadium is located just behind the Coach & Horses pub, on Sheffield Road, Dronfield. For sat nav, use postcode S18 2GD

There is space for approximately 65 cars in the ground car park, which can be accessed through the gate off Wreakes Lane (turn off the main road outside the ground at the traffic lights). This fills up quickly on a match day, so get there early to be sure of securing your space, for which there is a charge of between £1 and £3.

Alternatively, there is plenty of additional parking within a two-minute walk of the ground either by using the industrial units off Wreakes Lane and Stubley Hollow to the south of the ground.

A small number of accessible car parking spaces are in the Coach & Horses pub car park immediately in front of the ground, and access is off Sheffield Road for these.
